(45 minute up hill walk, 5 minute drive)

Tárbena is a beautiful old, traditional Valencian village purched on the hill top at the head of the valley. Along its narrow streets you can find a pharmacy, doctor's surgery, bank, butchers, fishmongers, bakery, two small supermarkets and around 10 bars and restaurants.

The Fox is a delightful old spanish bar accessed on a lovely winding path through beautiful olive groves. They serve food 5 days a week at very reasonable prices from which you get a 10% discount when staying at La Murta.

callosa d'en sarria

(20 minute drive)

Callosa is the nearest town, situated down at the bottom of the valley with a greater range of facilities than Tarbena village.
